It is an interesting world out there and there is lots of noise about agencies growing and contracting. In the hopes of staying somewhat sane, I thought I’d try to track random stats I come across in a place where I can remember to come back to them.
The metric is a simple one — headcount — since we are people businesses and as long as we continue to act as professional services firms and don’t figure a way to take margin by arbitraging our clients search terms through affliate programmes or start getting points the pop culture icon we create, it will all be about people.
